Saxon McDonell plays Frankie Valli

Saxon McDonell

Saxon has always been a fan of the iconic music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and is incredibly grateful to work with such a talented team. He previously played Frankie Valli in 'Jersey Boys' (2024) and Galileo Figaro in 'We Will Rock You' (2025) at Knox Grammar School under the direction of the wonderful Tanya Mitford. Saxon has grown up performing with SYMT, appearing in 'Big Fish', 'The Little Mermaid', 'School of Rock', and 'Shrek'. Now studying Commerce and Law, he is thrilled to return to the stage, before selling his soul to become a corporate lawyer!

Sam Byres plays Nick Massi

Sam Byres

Sam performed his first ever community theatre show with SYMT back in 2023, playing the Pilot/King Triton U/S in 'The Little Mermaid'. Now, he has returned to perform the role of Nick Massi. In those 3 years, Sam graduated the NIDA Diploma of Musical Theatre (2025), gathering notable credits including Officer Lockstock in 'Urinetown' (HMS, 2024), Danny Zuko in 'Grease' (HMS, 2025), and performing 'Men: A Cautionary Cabaret' (NIDA, 2025). In November, Sam will be playing Jack in 'Reefer Madness' (HMS, 2026). Finally, if any of his coworkers at the RSL are reading this; get back to work. Enjoy the show!

Charlie Bradford plays Bob Gaudio

Charlie Bradford

Charlie is thrilled to join SYMT in one of the roles which does not warrant any attempts at speaking Italian, and one which finally obliges him to deviate from Romantic era piano pieces. He began playing the piano at age 8, and began singing during his soprano days in his siblings' four-part harmony arrangements. He previously performed as Lucas in 'The Addams Family' (BMSI, 2025) and Willy Wonka in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' (BMSI, 2026). Charlie is studying his Doctor of Medicine at UoN where he is interested in pursuing otolaryngology, stemming from his fascination with the vocal cords.

Nathanael Sherlock plays Tommy DeVito

Nathanael Sherlock

Aside from Nathanael's love of long walks on the beach, his musical theatre journey began in childhood, inspired by watching his brothers take the stage. At Knox Grammar School, he appeared in 'The Wiz' (2018), 'Oliver!' (2020), 'Beauty and the Beast' (2021, the Baker), 'Singin' in the Rain' (2022, Diction Teacher), and 'Catch Me If You Can' (2023, Detective Hanratty). In community theatre, he played John Darling in 'Peter Pan' (Rascals, 2018), and with SYMT, he's performed in 'Big Fish' (2023), 'Shrek' (2024), Jackie in 'Billy Elliot' (2025), and Franklin Hart Jr. in '9 to 5' (2026). He cannot wait to bring his charm to Tommy DeVito in 'Jersey Boys.'
